IBC Insulation Covers
Intermediate Bulk Containers which are often known in the industry as IBC Totes or IBC Tanks, hold liquid substances so for example food ingredients, chemicals, and solvents. These substances are commonly / can be sensitive to temperature fluctuations and so they often need to be kept ambient to maintain their integrity / quality.
Here at Thermal Packaging Solutions, we manufacture high performing protective IBC Covers here in house. These are used to ensure that your goods maintain a consistent temperature.
How do IBC Insulation Covers Work?
The IBC Insulation Covers act as a insulating barrier. What this means for you is that the external temperatures (whether that be the excess heat or excess cold) do not impact the temperature of the contents in the same way as it would without the insulation. Instead, the Insulation Covers slow down the heat transfer and the cold bridging, to maintain a ambient internal temperature.
Depending on the sensitivity of your IBC Content, you can choose from two options of insulation materials.
The Material Options
ThermaPack Double IBC Cover
ThermaPack Double IBC Jackets are manufactured using a Bubble Insulation Membrane, which is sandwiched between two layers of highly reflective True Aluminium Foil. Whilst this material is only 4mm in thickness, it equates to 55mm of Polystyrene.
The True Aluminium Outer Layers reflect away excess heat during the summer and excess cold during the winter. This reflective barrier is easy to use whilst being extremely thermally effective.
EcoQuilt Expert IBC Cover
The EcoQuilt Expert IBC Covers are commonly used where the IBC Content has a greater temperature sensitivity or is exposed to significant fluctuations in temperature, for example going overseas opposed to nationwide. This material is equivalent to 55mm of polystyrene, whilst being just 15mm thick. It is manufactured from 6 layers, of wadding and reflective foil. The insulated IBC Cover system works effectively as a barrier against both heat radiation and conduction.

They also boast velcro seal closure therefore you can access the IBC as and when required and then it can be re sealed easily too, if you do wish to reuse them.
